MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />October 30, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 30th day of October, 1990 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 7:00 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Building Insp. Mr. John Palacio <br />Public Works Mr. Dave Harris <br />Rec. Director Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Fire Chief Mr. Frank Graczyk <br />Asst. Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br />Rec. Assoc. Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Sr. Cit. Coord. Mrs. Johanna Meath <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />USE OF FIRE Fahey pointed out that the first issue to be discussed <br />STATION BLDG. this evening is whether or not the City should retain <br />the existing Fire Station building. Input received <br />thus far from various City groups has been to retain <br />the Fire Station building. Those City organizations <br />and departments expressing an interest in use of the <br />existing Fire Station building include the Little <br />Canada Recreation Association, Little Canada Fire <br />Department, Recreation Department, 55+ Club, Little <br />Canada Historical Society, Canadian Days Coordinator, <br />and the Deputy Clerk. Fahey noted that staff has put <br />together an estimated budget for the operation and <br />maintenance of the building. <br />The Administrator reported that the budget did not <br />include insurance costs. It was thought that the <br />appraised value of the building was $120,000, with <br />staff to verify that amount. <br />Page 1 <br />
