It was noted that Public Works
has expressed interest in the two westerly bays of the
Fire Station. It was suggested that after the existing
station is vaoated, a committee be put together to
determine use of the upstairs facilities. Council
suggested that after the first of the year the City
Administrator put together a list of the organizations
interested in the use of the upstairs facilities as
well as the amount of square footage that each
organization is interested in.
PIONEER PARK Fahey reported that the Park Commission has recommended
RECREATION a fabric material be installed under the base around
BUILDING the Pioneer Park recreation building. Upon review by
City staff, it was determined that this fabric is not
necessary.
COSTA Council reviewed the recommendation of the Park
ESTATES Commission regarding walkway paths to Pioneer Park in
Costa Estates, should Costa Lane be run either north or
west. It was the consensus of the Council that walkway
paths were unnecessary since distances from the
adjacent residential streets to the park were not
qreat. Council also felt that such paths would be an
unneaessary burden on the City since the City would
have to maintain these paths.
Page 18
