MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 5, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 6th day of December, 1990 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 7:00 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Public Works Mr. Dave Harris <br />Building Insp. Mr. John Palacio <br />Recreation Dir. Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Park Comm. Mr. Ken Wehrle <br />Park Consultant Mr. Bill Sanders <br />Fire Chief Mr. Frank Graczyk <br />Mayor-Elect Mr. Ray Hanson <br />Deputy Clerk Mrs. Annette Freeman <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />1991 The City Administrator reported that the purpose of <br />BUDGET tonight's workshop meeting is to review the proposed <br />1991 Budget. The Administrator reported that the <br />City's 1990 Budget is balanced, however, not as healthy <br />as he would like. The Administrator pointed out that <br />the City took a$27,000 reduction in Local Government <br />Aid during 1990. There were also other expenses that <br />were incurred that had not been planned for. <br />The Administrator began his review of the proposed 1991 <br />Budget, and indicated that even though money is <br />budgeted in certain areas, does not mean it has to be <br />spent. The Administrator,reported that the City needs <br />to find ways to save money during 1991, and that the <br />1991 Budget is very tight. The Administrator also did <br />not feel the City could plan on receiving 100% of the <br />Local Government Aids that are expected during 1991. <br />Page 1 <br />
