MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 5, 1990
Fahey asked where the 7.12% increase placed Little
Canada compared to other cities. The Administrator
estimated in the middle to high range.
Blesener suggested that any excess that can be found in
the bonded debt levy be used to reduce the tax levy.
The Administrator estimated that if the excess is used
to reduce the tax levy, the levy increase can be
reduced from 7.12% to possibly 3.50%, but numbers are
still being verified.
The Administrator reported that he would have a report
on bonded indebtedness ready for the next Council
meeting.
Fahey pointed out that for the past several years the
City has been able to reduce its levy except for last
year because of the additional levy needed for the new
fire station.
Council reviewed proposed increases in Developer
Deposit fees as well as a proposed agreement with
developers for the collection of any balances over the
fee and escrow amount. It was the consensus of the
Council that the fees appear to be acceptable, and
Council suggested that the matter be placed on the next
agenda for formal adoption.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 11:05 P.M.
~ ~~ r ~ c,'~ `~ ~~
~ r ~,a~., ~„ .~x..t~~'~:,'~~,~s
Mich el I.
