MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 12, 1990 Fahey pointed out that the City is increasing its levy by $66,000 for 1991, and the Sheriff's Department alone increased their cost to the City by $69,000. There was no one else from the general public present wishing to comment. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was closed. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-12-543 - APPROVING THE 1991 GENERAL FUND AND BONDED INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY AS PRESENTED: GENERAL FUND BONDED DEBT: 1981 REVENUE 1986 STORM S 1966 SPECIAL 1967 SPECIAL 1978 SPECIAL 1983 SPECIAL BONDS ~WER BONDS ASSESSMENT BONDS & ASSESSMENT BONDS ASSESSMENT BONDS ASSESSMENT BONDS 1985 REFUNDING BONDS 1990 FIRE STATION INSTALL. CONTRACT TOTAL $1,046,140 10,000 123,000 92,225 177,300 72,000 60,000 130,000 1,710,665 AND WHEREAS, the Council is required to certify a tax levy to the County Auditor by December 28, 1990. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, that the Council hereby approves the 1991 tax levy in the amount of $1,506,325. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. LIGHT RAIL Karen Johnson, one of the City representatives to the TRANSIT Northeast Corridor Light Rail Transit Task Force appeared before the Council. Johnson updated the Council on discussions of the Task Force reporting that four different alignments are being considered for the northeast corridor. Johnson reviewed each of these alignments with the Council, asking their preference. Johnson also pointed out that the Midway corridor has the highest priority and is anticipated for Page 12
