MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 12, 1990 <br />Fahey pointed out that the City is increasing its levy <br />by $66,000 for 1991, and the Sheriff's Department alone <br />increased their cost to the City by $69,000. <br />There was no one else from the general public present <br />wishing to comment. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Blesener, the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-12-543 - APPROVING THE 1991 GENERAL <br />FUND AND BONDED INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY AS PRESENTED: <br />GENERAL FUND <br />BONDED DEBT: <br />1981 REVENUE <br />1986 STORM S <br />1966 SPECIAL <br />1967 SPECIAL <br />1978 SPECIAL <br />1983 SPECIAL <br />BONDS <br />~WER BONDS <br />ASSESSMENT BONDS & <br />ASSESSMENT BONDS <br />ASSESSMENT BONDS <br />ASSESSMENT BONDS <br />1985 REFUNDING BONDS <br />1990 FIRE STATION INSTALL. CONTRACT <br />TOTAL <br />$1,046,140 <br />10,000 <br />123,000 <br />92,225 <br />177,300 <br />72,000 <br />60,000 <br />130,000 <br />1,710,665 <br />AND WHEREAS, the Council is required to certify a tax <br />levy to the County Auditor by December 28, 1990. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LITTLE CANADA, that the Council hereby approves the <br />1991 tax levy in the amount of $1,506,325. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />LIGHT RAIL Karen Johnson, one of the City representatives to the <br />TRANSIT Northeast Corridor Light Rail Transit Task Force <br />appeared before the Council. Johnson updated the <br />Council on discussions of the Task Force reporting that <br />four different alignments are being considered for the <br />northeast corridor. Johnson reviewed each of these <br />alignments with the Council, asking their preference. <br />Johnson also pointed out that the Midway corridor has <br />the highest priority and is anticipated for <br />Page 12 <br />
