MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA DECEMBER 20, 1990 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 20th day of December, 1990 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to order at 5:45 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey Council Member Mr. Sill Blesener Council Member Mr. Rick Collova Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze ALSO PRESENT City Admin. Building Insp. Public Works Recreation Dir. Rec. Secretary Mr. Joel Hanson Mr. John Palacio Mr. Dave Harris Mr. Jim Morelan Mrs. Kathy Glanzer 1991 The City Administrator presented proposed 1991 City WAGES employee salary increases and wage scales. The Administrator pointed out that at this time he is not addressing summer help or custodian scales. The Administrator reported that in developing the salary scales he used comparable information from surrounding cities as well as information from the Stanton Report. The first position looked at was that of Building Inspector/Fire Marshal. The Administrator reviewed his salary scale proposal as well as the wage information from surrounding cities and the Stanton Report used to arrive at his recommendation. A 4% salary increase was recommended for 1991. Fahey asked if the Administrator was recommending that the Council adopt the salary scale as it is proposed in the years beyond 1991. The Administrator replied that this was his recommendation assuming that there was satisfactory performance on the part of the individual employees. Page 1
