The Council also felt that
these distances should not stop at City boundaries, but
take into consideration the uses along City borders as
well.
The City Attorney reported that the proposed Ordinance
will need to be submitted to the Planning Commission
for their recommendation prior to adoption by the City
Council.
The Council suggested that once the Ordinance is in
final form it be submitted to the Cities of Roseville
and Maplewood for their information, requesting that
should these cities adopt similar ordinances, that
they, too, apply distances without regard to city
boundaries.
CABLE TV Bill Bruce, Cable TV Producer, reported that the Cable
ORDINANCE TV Commission is requesting the amendment of the City's
Cable TV Ordinance to address some housekeeping items.
It was the consensus of the Council that the City
Attorney make the necessary revisions to the Ordinance.
The City Administrator asked why the Cable Commission's
attorney did not prepare the ordinance for the City's
review.
Bruce reported that the last time there were needed
revisions to the ordinance, the Cable Commission's
attorney did submit the proposed ordinance to the
member cities. xowever, some of the cities had
questions and different ways of handling ordinances,
and the process was confusing. Therefore, the various
cities are being asked to draw up their own ordinances
Page 15
