MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 26, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCE- Mayor Fahey reported that Little Canada Charities Plus <br />MENTS has donated $75,000 towards the City's Park Development <br />Fund. Fahey thanked Little Canada Charities Plus for <br />their generousity and continued support of the City's <br />park system. <br />Fahey thanked the citizens of Little Canada for <br />allowing him to serve as their Mayor for the past six <br />years and as Council Member for six years prior. Fahey <br />then thanked City staff for their assistance and <br />recognized them for the good job that they do. Fahey <br />thanked the Council for their efforts and ability to <br />work together, and lastly thanked his wife and family <br />for their support. <br />Scalze noted that she has served with Fahey on the <br />Council for the past 12 years and felt that the Mayor <br />was leaving some big shoes to fill. Scalze felt that <br />Fahey has always given his utmost as Council Member and <br />Mayor and has gone above and beyond the call of duty in <br />serving the City. <br />Fahey stated that it was his feeling that Ray Hanson <br />will do a good job as Mayor of the City of Little <br />Canada and felt the new Mayor and Council will work <br />well together. <br />PRELIMINARY Fahey opened the public hearing on the Frederickshaven <br />PLAT - preliminary plat submitted by Gordie Howe. Fahey noted <br />FREDERICKS- that the Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />HAVEN of the plat. <br />Gordie Howe noted that the plat includes the extension <br />of the Sunrise Drive cul-de-sac with five additional <br />lots, as well as development of a cul-de-sac street <br />from Edgerton. Aowe noted that a variance will be <br />necessary for the length of the proposed cul-de-sac. <br />It was noted that the application before the Council <br />Page 2 <br />
