MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 23, 1991 METER HOUSE REPAIRS HAZARDOUS BUILDING Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-1-37 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO MAIC~ APPLICATION FOR A RAMSEY COUNTY MUNICIPAL RECYCLING EXPANSION GRANT The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Blesener reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's report dated January 18th regarding repairs necessary to the City's meter house located on Roselawn Avenue. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-1-38 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE REPAIR, IF FEASIBLE, OR REPLACEMENT OF METERING EQUIPMENT AT THE ROSELAWN AVENUE METER HOUSE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT AND THE CITY OF ST. PAUL The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. Collova reviewed the Building Inspector's recommendation regarding a harzardous building located at 2558 Rice Street. The City Attorney commented that the Building Inspector's letter to the property owner appears to be in the proper form, and assuming that the City proceeds to condemnation action, this letter would be the initial step that should be taken. Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 91-1-39 - APPROVING TxE BUILDING INSPECTOR'S ACTIONS REGARDING THE HAZARDOUS BUILDING LOCATED AT 2558 RICE STREET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Collova, Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Page 14
