MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 10, 1991 <br />Mayor Hanson pointed out the correspondence in the <br />agendas from the Ramsey County Regional Railroad <br />Authority thanking Gene DeLonais and Karen Johnson for <br />their services as the City's representatives on the <br />Northeast Corridor Task Force which has studied the <br />issue of light rail transit. On behalf of the City, <br />Mayor Hanson thanked DeLonais and Johnson for their <br />contributions and efforts on this task force. <br />GAMBLING Mr. Greg Scheder appeared before the Council requesting <br />LICENSE- approval of the Application for Exemption from Lawful <br />DUCKS Gambling License submitted by Ducks Unlimited-Roseville <br />UNLIMITED Chapter so that they can hold a gold plate dinner at <br />the Venetian Inn on Sunday, April 14th. Scheder <br />reported that proceeds from the event would go to <br />support Ducks Unlimited's State-wide conservation <br />efforts. <br />Council reviewed the application and found it to be in <br />order. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-4-127 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE AS SUBMITTED BY <br />DUCKS UNLIMITED-ROSEVILLE CHAPTER FOR A GOLD PLATE <br />DINNER TO BE HELD AT THE VENETIAN INN ON SUNDAY, APRIL <br />14, 1991 PROVIDED THAT THERE IS NO SALE OF PULL-TABS BY <br />DUCKS UNLIMITED AT TAIS EVENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />WATER WORKS Bill Sanders, Park Consultant, appeared before the <br />TRAIL Council and presented the Park Commission's proposal to <br />construct a trail from Country Drive, just north of <br />Little Canada Road, to South Owasso Blvd. utilizing the <br />existing St. Paul Water Works property. The trail <br />would be roughly 3,000 feet long, 8 feet wide, and <br />would cost approximately $30,000 to construct. Funds <br />for construction would come from donations. <br />Page 2 <br />
