MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 24, 1991 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-4-151 - CHANGING THE WEDNESDAY, JUNE <br />12, 1991 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING TO TUESDAY, JUNE 11, <br />1991 DUE TO THE LEAGUE OF MN CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Hanson, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />STREET Council reviewed the two quotations received for street <br />SWEEPING sweeping, one from Crosstown Sweeping in the amount of <br />$58 per hour and the other from McPhillips Sweeping at <br />$55 per hour. The Public Works Superintendent <br />recommended that the low quotation be awarded. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-4-152 - AWARDING THE QUOTATION OF <br />MCPHILLIPS SWEEPING AT $55 PER HOUR FOR 1991 STREET <br />SWEEPING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, Scalze, LaValle, Blesener, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SEALCOATING Blesener recommended that when sealcoating is done <br />during 1991 that trap rock not be used. Blesener <br />reported that this rock has sharper edges and the City <br />has had complaints during the past few years it has <br />been used. Blesener noted that there are very few <br />sidewalks in the cities, therefore children must use <br />the streets for riding bikes, etc. and the trap rock <br />has been a problem. <br />FIRE DEPT. Collova asked when the new Fire Station will be <br />completed. <br />The City Administrator reported that the final lift of <br />Page 15 <br />
