MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 24, 1991 blacktop will be installed within the next week to 10 days. The majority of the final work at the Station should be completed by Friday. The Administrator estimated that the Fire Department would take occupancy within the next 2 to 3 weeks. PARK Scalze reviewed the results of a survey that Vadnais CHARGE Heights did on park charges of other cities. Scalze pointed out that Little Canada's residential park charge is at $400 per single-family home, which is below the average of other cities in the Metro area. Scalze felt that the City needed to look at more user fees, especially since the City's park system is not complete. Scalze also pointed out that the requests for additional park facilities are coming from new residents. Scalze pointed out the potential for 100 new homes in the City this year, and recommended that the park charge for a single-family home should be increased to $550. Scalze stated that she looks at this charge as a user fee. This motion died for lack of a second. Blesener reported that he could not support the increase at this time since last year the City increased the fee from $300 to $400 per residential home. Collova agreed that the issue should be looked at again, but stated that an increase to $500 was the most he would support. PIONEER PARK Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and ARCxITECTURAL moved its adoption: FEE RESOLUTION NO. 91-4-153 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF $1,000 TO RVK ARCHITECTS, LTD. FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE PIONEER PARK RECREATION BUILDING The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (O).
