MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 24, 1991 <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS Mayor Hanson thanked Olsen, Thielen & Co. for their <br />generous donation of $1,000 to the Little Canada <br />Recreation Association. <br />LaValle thanked St. Joseph's Society for Charity for <br />their donation of funds for production of a video tape <br />on the history of the Little Canada Fire Department. <br />LaValle stated that if anyone has specific information <br />or documents relating to the Fire Department that <br />should be included in the video to contact City xall. <br />VARIANCE Hanson reported that Mr. Brausen is investigating <br />BRAUSEN various alternatives, therefore, has requested that his <br />application for variance for front yard setback be <br />tabled at this time. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the followinq resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-4-143 - CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON THE BRAUSEN APPLICATION FOR FRONT YARD SETBACK <br />VARIANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON VIKING DRIVE AS <br />REQUE5TED BY THE APPLICANT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PRELIMINARY Mr. Ralph Darr, Brevic Engineering, appeared before <br />PLAT - the Council to present the proposed preliminary plat <br />YORKTON for Yorkton Ridge West. Darr reported that he has <br />RIDGE WEST been working with the City Engineer on details of the <br />plat. Darr explained the drainage of the plat, <br />pointing out that run-off from the north side of the <br />property into the industrial park will be directed by a <br />swale into existing manholes and then into the ponding <br />area in the industrial park. <br />Darr reported that the question of the berm has come up <br />with the thought being that the berm will buffer the <br />view of the industrial park for the residents on the <br />south. <br />Page 2 <br />
