MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 24, 1991
Administrator asked if the use of this land was
restricted to park.
The City Attorney replied that if the land was
dedicated to the City as park land, then its use is
restricted to park usage.
Scalze pointed out that the land has not been developed
as park because the adjacent residential area has not
been developed. However, the City required the
dedication because it identified the future need for
park land in this area. Scalze pointed out that
development of this piece of park land would tie into
development of the Water Works trail. Scalze suggested
that the Park Commission research the future
development of this piece of property as park land.
Scalze commented that if this piece of property was not
designated as park land on the final plat, it should be
clear from the past Council minutes that it was the
intention of the City that this be park land.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 91-4-144 - CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE YORKTON RIDGE WEST PRELIMINARY PLAT UNTIL THE
MAY 22, 1991 COUNCIL MEETING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Collova.
Nays (O).
Resolution declared adopted.
PUD & CUP Mr. Tim Malloy, representing U.S. West, appeared before
CELLULAR the Council requesting approval of an amendment to
TOWER Planned Unit Development and Conditional Use Permit to
U.S. WEST allow the construction of a 125 foot cellular telephone
tower and equipment building at 5 East County Road B.
Malloy described the proposed location of the tower and
equipment building. Malloy also presented a landscape
plan for the site in response to the recommendations of
the City Planner and Planninq Commission.
Malloy described the appearance of the tower in detail
as well as reported that only limited grading of the
site will be necessary for construction of the
equipment building.
Scalze reported that she had a problem with the tower
proposal. Scalze pointed out that the PUD on the
property is for multiple buildings, and only one
Page 6
