MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 1991 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-188 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND PUBLIC WORKS TO BEGIN TAE PROCESS OF <br />INFORMING THE PUBLIC THAT THERE WILL BE PLASTICS <br />RECYCLING TO BEGIN AT A TIME SHORTLY AFTER NOTIFICATION <br />HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />WESTWINDS Scalze reviewed the Park Commission's recommendation <br />TRAIL BIDS to advertise for bids for Westwinds trail improvement, <br />with the trail to encircle the pond south of the Aspen <br />Circle area. The Park Commission is recommending as an <br />bid alternate the extension of the trail from the pond <br />over to LaBore Road. Scalze pointed out that the City <br />does not have the necessary easement or property to <br />extend the trail to LaBore Road at this time, however, <br />the property owner will be contacted to determine if <br />there is any interest in dedicating an easement. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-189 - AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS FOR WESTWINDS TRAIL IMPROVEMENT AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY THE PARK COMMISSION, WITH AN ALTERNATE TO THE BID <br />FOR TRAIL EXTENSION FROM THE POND TO LABORE ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Aanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER PARK Scalze reported that the Park Consultant obtained per <br />LANDSCAPING unit quotes for landscaping in Pioneer Park. The Park <br />Commission has recommended that the low per unit bids <br />be accepted, and materials purchased on an as-needed <br />and as money available basis. Scalze pointed out that <br />the Recreation Association has donated $20,000 toward <br />the purchase of large trees for Pioneer Park. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-190 - ACCEPTING THE LOW PER UNIT <br />BIDS FOR PIONEER PARK LANDSCAPING AS OBTAINED BY TAE <br />PARK CONSULTANT, WITH MATERIALS TO BE PURCHASED ON AN <br />AS-NEEDED AND AS FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE BASIS <br />Page 23 <br />
