MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 1991 <br />Scalze suggested that the City Administrator discuss <br />the matter with the Park Consultant, since he may have <br />planned to include paving of the Centerville Road <br />parking lot with trail paving. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-186 - AUTHORIZING THE INCLUSION OF <br />PAVING OF THE PIONEER PARK PARKING LOTS AS AN ALTERNATE <br />TO THE DESOTO STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECYCLING Blesener reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's <br />CHARGE recommendation regarding exemption from recycling <br />EXEMPTION charge when residents are on extended vacation similar <br />to what is now done for trash collection charges. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-187 - APPROVING AN EXEMPTION FROM <br />RECYCLING CHARGE FOR RESIDENTS ON AN EXTENDED VACATION <br />SIMILAR TO THE MANDATORY TRASH COLLECTION EXEMPTION <br />SUBJECT TO THE SAME PROCEDURE USED FOR THAT EXEMPTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PLASTICS Blesener reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's <br />RECYCLING recommendation regarding plastics recycling. <br />Council discussed the process for notifying residents <br />that plastics recycling will begin, and it was <br />suggested that the City newsletter might be used to <br />inform residents. However, it was noted that the next <br />newsletter will come out until August, therefore, <br />plastic recycling pick-up might have to be delayed <br />until September 1st. Council decided that the City <br />Administrator should work out the details on <br />notification of residents. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page 22 <br />
