MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 11, 1991
that the Council never approved the culverts that Creel
has brought up nor approved the switch allowing
walk-out homes south of Allen Avenue. The Council was
not aware that these policy changes had happened at the
time they did.
Tim Paulus, 2990 Ontario, asked the City~s plans for
improving drainage south of Allen Avenue.
The City Engineer replied that the proposal included
cleaning the ditch area a few lots south of Allen
Avenue.
Randy Millette; 2984 Ontario Road, reported that his
property was not included in the survey. Millette
reported that when it rains, his property becomes a
lake.
The City Engineer reported that he has discussed this
situation with Mr. Millette. The Engineer recommended
that rather than the City doing something on the
Millette property, Mr. Millette get together with his
neighbor and install some drain tile.
Millette stated that he would like the City to survey
his property so that he knows the profiles.
Based on the discussion, the City Engineer agreed that
the area south of Allen for ditches 3 and 4 should be
looked at for possible extension of the improvement.
Dennis Route, 3055 Greenbrier, reported that the homes
in his area along Greenbrier have never experienced a
drainage problem.
The City Engineer replied that the Route property is
considerably away from the improvement, and he
suggested that the assessment to these properties would
be lesser if anything at all. The Engineer reported
that the City has invited a larger area to the
improvement hearing to determine if there are any
additional problems that have been overlooked that
should be included in the improvement.
Greg Cylkowski, 3036 Ontario, asked the City Engineer
for his recommendation.
The City Engineer recommended for ditch #4 that the
existing culvert be removed and replaced, the area be
regraded and resodded, and that the culvert under Al1en
Avenue be cleaned. The Engineer suggested that there
might be a need to extend the improvement further
Page 11
