MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 26, 1991 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-6-214 - APPROVING A TWO-YEAR <br />EXTENSION TO THE FRATTALONE RECYCLING OPERATION BASED <br />ON FRATTALONE'S ON-GOING EFFORTS TO RELOCATE IN THE <br />CITY OF MAPLEWOOD, AND FRATTALONE'S AGREEMENT THAT <br />SHOULD HE GET PERMITTED PRIOR TO THE LAPSE OF THE <br />TWO-YEAR PERIOD HE WILL RELOCATE HIS OPERATION AS SOON <br />AS FEASIBLE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (3) LaValle, Collova, Hanson. <br />Nays (2) Scalze, Blesener. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator stated that it was his <br />understanding that the resolution allowed for a <br />two-year extension for the stockpiling of recyclable <br />materials. <br />KANDICE II The City Administrator requested that the Kandice <br />DEVELOPMENT Heights II Development Agreement be postponed at this <br />AGREEMENT time since he just received the documents from Bond <br />Counsel and had some questions. The Administrator <br />suggested that the Council look at the agreement at its <br />July 10th meeting, and suggested that the development <br />agreement for Kandice Heights III may be ready for <br />review as well. <br />The Administrator went on to report that Phase II is a <br />certainty at this point since financing has been <br />obtained. The permanent financing has been obtained <br />for Phase III, and the developer is trying to obtain <br />construction financing. <br />BLOCK GRANT The City Administrator reported that the City's <br />application for a Community Development Block Grant has <br />been approved, and the City has been awarded a$120,000 <br />grant to be used in the acquisition of land for a <br />senior citizen housing project. The Administrator <br />reported that, hopefully, the Senior Citizen Housing <br />Committee will have a recommendation within the next <br />month for a developer for such a project. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-6-215 - APPROVING TAE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AGREEMENT AS PRESENTED AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DESIGNATING THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND COUNCIL MEMBER LAVALLE AS <br />SIGNATORIES FOR MONTHLY VOUCHERS <br />Page 18 <br />
