MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 26, 1991 <br />for parks in Ramsey County. <br />Scalze expressed her thanks for the award and pointed <br />out that the entire Council has been a strong supporter <br />of the City's park system. <br />LaValle acknowledged a new large Cable TV subscriber in <br />the City. The Terrace Heights Mobilehome Park at 2442 <br />Rice Street was recently connected to the system. <br />LaValle expressed his disappointment over an article <br />which appeared in the latest issue of the Roseville <br />Review regarding pending problems with some of the <br />charities operating at the Little Canada Bingo Hall. <br />LaValle felt that facts should have been better <br />researched, and the article should have reflected both <br />sides of the issue. <br />YORKTON Mr. Jack Welch appeared before the Council requesting <br />RIDGE approval of the preliminary plat for the Yorkton Ridge <br />WEST West development. Welch reviewed recent changes which <br />PRELIMINARY have been made to the plat, those being elimination of <br />PLAT roadway connection to the industrial park to the north. <br /> The area is now being shown as an outlot for future <br /> road purposes. This provides the option of making the <br /> road connection in the future should the residents to <br /> the south decide they would like the connection. Sewer <br /> and water will still come in from this location. Welch <br /> explained that watermain will be looped, and utilities <br /> will be made available to the existing homes on Jackson <br /> Street that do not currently have sewer and water. <br />Welch described the proposed drainage of the plat which <br />involves the majority of the property draining to the <br />street. This run-off will be picked up and piped to <br />the existing storm sewer system in the area. The back <br />portion of the nothernmost lots will drain to a swale <br />at the back of the lots and eventually into the ponding <br />area in the industrial park. <br />Welch reported that the existing berm along the <br />northern property line is approximately 18 feet in <br />height. The proposed cul-de-sac will have a 120 foot <br />right-of-way with a 90 foot paved area. <br />The City Engineer stated that some items he would like <br />Page 2 <br />
