MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 26, 1991 <br />plowing can be done if the street is posted as no <br />parking. <br />LaValle stated that he has driven the area and has not <br />seen a lot of cars parked on the street. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-6-219 - TABLING ACTION ON PUBLIC <br />WORKS~ RECOMMENDATION FOR POSTING SYLVAN STREET AS NO <br />PARKING AND DIRECTING LAVALLE, THE CITY PLANNER, AND <br />PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT TO GET TOGETHER AND COME UP <br />WITH SOME ADDITIONAL OPTIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOAL SETTING Blesener stated that he would like to see a goal <br />setting workshop scheduled similar to what the City has <br />done in the past. Council agreed and directed the City <br />Administrator to schedule such a workshop sometime <br />after July. <br />WARMING The Administrator reported that the Recreation <br />HOUSE Department has obtained the necessary funds to proceed <br /> with construction of a new warming house at the skating <br /> area on Demont. The Administrator reported that Krause <br /> Anderson has expressed an interest in managing the <br /> project, and will be submitting a proposal. This <br /> proposal should be available for review at the next <br /> Council meeting. The Administrator indicated that some <br /> modified construction management approach rather than a <br /> general contractor situation should be feasible with a <br /> project this size. <br />DESOTO STR. The Administrator reported that work has commenced on <br />IMPROVEMENT the DeSoto Street improvement. Grading began today. <br />THUNDER BAY The Administrator reported that the Public Works <br />TRASH GUARDS Superintendent has informed him that temporary trash <br /> guards were installed on one of the systems in the <br /> Thunder Bay area. However, permanent trash guards <br /> should not be installed until the area adjacent to the <br /> pipe is regraded as part of the drainage improvement <br /> project. <br /> Page 22 <br />
