Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-6-219 - TABLING ACTION ON PUBLIC WORKS~ RECOMMENDATION FOR POSTING SYLVAN STREET AS NO PARKING AND DIRECTING LAVALLE, THE CITY PLANNER, AND PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT TO GET TOGETHER AND COME UP WITH SOME ADDITIONAL OPTIONS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. GOAL SETTING Blesener stated that he would like to see a goal setting workshop scheduled similar to what the City has done in the past. Council agreed and directed the City Administrator to schedule such a workshop sometime after July. WARMING The Administrator reported that the Recreation HOUSE Department has obtained the necessary funds to proceed with construction of a new warming house at the skating area on Demont. The Administrator reported that Krause Anderson has expressed an interest in managing the project, and will be submitting a proposal. This proposal should be available for review at the next Council meeting. The Administrator indicated that some modified construction management approach rather than a general contractor situation should be feasible with a project this size. DESOTO STR. The Administrator reported that work has commenced on IMPROVEMENT the DeSoto Street improvement. Grading began today. THUNDER BAY The Administrator reported that the Public Works TRASH GUARDS Superintendent has informed him that temporary trash guards were installed on one of the systems in the Thunder Bay area. However, permanent trash guards should not be installed until the area adjacent to the pipe is regraded as part of the drainage improvement project. Page 22
