MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 28, 1991 <br />McBride replied that they did not value the structure <br />at the $9,000 value set by the County, and pointed out <br />that the property is lake property. McBride stated <br />that they are not asking to build a new building, but <br />rather to remodel the existing structure. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-8-288 - DENYING THE GLORIA FAVIS <br />APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE TO <br />ALLOW THE IMPROVEMENT OF A NON-CONFORMING STRUCTURE IN <br />EXCE55 OF 50o OF TAE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE STRUCTURE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (2) Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (3) Collova, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Resolution defeated. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-8-289 - APPROVING THE GLORIA FAVIS <br />APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE TO <br />ALLOW THE IMPROVEMENT OF A NON-CONFORMING STRUCTURE IN <br />EXCESS OF 50% OF THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE STRUCTURE <br />CONTINGENT UPON THE ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR REQUIRING THAT <br />TxE ELECTRICAL IN THE STRUCTURE BE BROUGHT UP TO NEW <br />CODE REQUIREMENTS WITH THE VARIANCE BEING GRANTED DUE <br />TO TAE NARROWNESS OF THE PROPERTY IN RELATIONSHIP TO <br />THE ROADj IF THE VARIANCE WAS NOT APPROVED, THE RESULT <br />WOULD BE AN EMPTY LOT; SINCE EXISTING HOUSES IN THE <br />AREA WILL NOT BE VACATED FOR SOME TIME; AND BECAUSE <br />THERE IS NO REASONABLE REUSE OF THE PROPERTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (3) Collova, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (2) Blesener, LaValle. <br />Resolution defeated. <br />It was suggested that the applicant discuss his options <br />with City Staff. <br />PAWN BROKERS The City has received an application for Pawn Brokers <br />LICENSE and Second Hand Goods Dealers License from Lincoln <br />Pawn. The City Administrator reported that the <br />Sheriff's Department has not completed its <br />investigation report, and suggested that action on the <br />application be tabled until the report is received. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page 8 <br />
