MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 2, 1991 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of October, 1991 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 6:00 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Collova <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Planning Comm. Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop is to discuss <br />and formulate provisions to be included in a charitable <br />gambling ordinance for the City of Little Canada. <br />After detailed discussion, the following provisions <br />were agreed to by the Council: <br />*Limit bingo hall licenses and locations to one. <br />*Establish an annual premise permit for the City. <br />*Limit maximum number of Class A premises permits to <br />five. Class A permits shall terminate simultaneously <br />with the termination of the bingo hall license. <br />*Require a duplicate copy of Gambling Control Board <br />application, all supporting documents, and all reports <br />required by the State Gambling Control Board, <br />including annual financial audit, to be submitted to <br />the City. <br />*No employee, member, principal officer, or consultant <br />of the organization or bingo hall shall have been <br />convicted of a felony, convicted of a crime involving <br />gambling, convicted of assault, convicted of a <br />criminal violation involving the use of a fire arm or <br />making terroristic threats. <br />Page 1 <br />
