MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 8, 1992 <br />let's continue working with Roseville if he saw some <br />benefit in it for Little Canada, however, he does not. <br />Blesener felt it was time to get on with reviewing the <br />100 applications received and hiring a full-time <br />Director. Blesener did not believe that LCRA had <br />threatened anyone. Blesener felt that the City needed <br />to improve its recreation program with a full-time <br />Director, be it Jim Morelan or another person under the <br />Little Canada administration. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-1-7 - DISCONTINUING NEGOTIATIONS WITH <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE RELATIVE TO CONTRACTING FOR <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION PROGRAM, <br />AND CONTINUING TO REVIEW APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION <br />OF FULL-TIME RECREATION DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Council instructed the City Administrator to send a <br />letter to the City of Rosville thanking them for their <br />time and effort, but respectfully declining the option <br />based on public input. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:42 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:59 P.M. <br />LEGAL Proposals have been received from the North Suburban <br />NEWSPAPER Press and the Lillie Suburban Newspapers for legal <br />newspapers services for 1992. City staff's <br />recommendation was to retain the Roseville Review of <br />the Lillie Suburban Newspapers as 1992 legal newspaper. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-1-8 - APPOINTING THE ROSEVILLE REVIEW <br />OF LILLIE SUBURBAN NEWSPAPERS AS THE LITTLE CANADA <br />LEGAL NEWSPAPER FOR 1992 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 20 <br />
