MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 8, 1992 let's continue working with Roseville if he saw some benefit in it for Little Canada, however, he does not. Blesener felt it was time to get on with reviewing the 100 applications received and hiring a full-time Director. Blesener did not believe that LCRA had threatened anyone. Blesener felt that the City needed to improve its recreation program with a full-time Director, be it Jim Morelan or another person under the Little Canada administration. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-1-7 - DISCONTINUING NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE RELATIVE TO CONTRACTING FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION PROGRAM, AND CONTINUING TO REVIEW APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF FULL-TIME RECREATION DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Council instructed the City Administrator to send a letter to the City of Rosville thanking them for their time and effort, but respectfully declining the option based on public input. RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:42 P.M., Council took a short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:59 P.M. LEGAL Proposals have been received from the North Suburban NEWSPAPER Press and the Lillie Suburban Newspapers for legal newspapers services for 1992. City staff's recommendation was to retain the Roseville Review of the Lillie Suburban Newspapers as 1992 legal newspaper. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 92-1-8 - APPOINTING THE ROSEVILLE REVIEW OF LILLIE SUBURBAN NEWSPAPERS AS THE LITTLE CANADA LEGAL NEWSPAPER FOR 1992 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
