Hanson reported that during the
interview with Morelan, there were some concerns
expressed relative to Morelan's position as Assistant
Fire Chief with the Little Canada Fire Department.
Hanson reported that it was his position at the
interview, and that of the majority of the Council,
that a condition of employment would be that Morelan
would not be Fire Chief in the future. Hanson reported
that that is the way he understood the discussion at
Morelan's interview, however, when the City
Administrator later made the employment offer to
Morelan, there was a misunderstanding on this point.
The City Administrator reported that he met with
Morelan on January 28th to discuss the employment
Page 1
