MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA February 10, 1992 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of February, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired the meeting and called it to order at 5:20 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson Council Member Mr. Rick Collova Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney Fire Chief Mr. Frank Graczyk Fire Dept. Mr. Dick Boss Fire Dept. Mr. Steve Morelan Fire Dept. Mr. Michael Fahey Mr. Jim Morelan Mr. Greg Cylkowski Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer PARK AND Mayor Hanson reported that as part of the interview RECREATION process, the City Council decided to offer the DIRECTOR position of full-time Park and Recreation Director to JOB OFFER Mr. Jim Morelan. Hanson reported that during the interview with Morelan, there were some concerns expressed relative to Morelan's position as Assistant Fire Chief with the Little Canada Fire Department. Hanson reported that it was his position at the interview, and that of the majority of the Council, that a condition of employment would be that Morelan would not be Fire Chief in the future. Hanson reported that that is the way he understood the discussion at Morelan's interview, however, when the City Administrator later made the employment offer to Morelan, there was a misunderstanding on this point.
