MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12, 1992 <br />Matson replied that funds have been set aside to honor <br />that commitment, and would be disbursed upon receipt of <br />an invoice. <br />Scalze asked for the City Attorney's comments on the <br />premise permit application submitted by North Suburban <br />Youth Association. <br />The City Attorney reported that the material he has <br />reviewed relative to the permit doesn't indicate any <br />reason for the City not to approve the permit. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-2-53 - APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF <br />PREMISE PERMIT FOR NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION FOR <br />TAE LICENSE PERIOD MARCH 1, 1992 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, <br />1994 SUBJECT TO ANOTHER SATISFACTORY REVIEW OF THE <br />NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH ASSOCIATION OPERATION BY THE CITY <br />COUNCIL IN A YEAR, SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF SATISFACTORY <br />SHERIFF'S REPORTS, AND SUBJECT TO THE SUBMISSION OF <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON FUNDING AND METHOD OF GRANT <br />APPROVAL USED BY THE NSYA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Hanson, Collova, Blesener, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PREMISE Jan Sherman, Little Canada Charities Plus, Inc. <br />PERMIT appeared before the Council requesting approval of <br />LITTLE the premise permit for Little Canada Charities Plus <br />CANADA for their operation at the Little Canada Bingo Hall as <br />CHARITIES well as a pull-tab site at Brady's on Rice Street. <br />PLUS <br /> LaValle pointed out the City Ordinance requirements for <br /> 3% enforcement tax as well as l0% donation to the <br /> City's capital improvement fund, and requested that <br /> these monies be submitted as outlined within the <br /> ordinance via separate instruments. <br />Scalze stated that it was her feeling that Little <br />Canada Charities Plus has been very good for the City, <br />pointing out that approximately 74% of the money raised <br />by the organization, or $158,911.72, has stayed right <br />in Little Canada. Scalze felt this was something that <br />the citizens of Little Canada should know, and <br />commented that the City sincerely appreciates the <br />efforts of Little Canada Charities Plus. <br />Sherman noted that one of the purposes of Little Canada <br />Charity Plus is community well beinq. <br />Page 10 <br />
