MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 26, 1992
Scalze reported that the last paragraph on page 12 of
the February 12th regular meeting minutes should be
corrected to indicate that Scalze stated it was her
understanding that the County would be upgrading County
roads before turning them back to municipalities.
Scalze also stated that on page 19 in discussion about
workshop meetings with the Fire Department, it was her
understanding that these workshops were to be held
semi-annually rather than quarterly.
Blesener thought that the Council discussed quarterly
workshops, and suggested that the workshops be held
quarterly until it is apparent that the need is for
semi-annual workshops.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-70 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE
FEBRUARY 12, 1992 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS AMENDED
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova.
Ayes (3) Blesener, Collova, Scalze.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
ROAD Blesener reported that weight restrictions will go on
RESTRICTIONS City and County roads effective Monday. Blesener
pointed out that Ramsey County determines the date that
road restrictions go into effect. Road restrictions
will stay on until the frost is out of the ground,
usually the end of April or early May.
Blesener suggested that staff contact the businesses
within the City with large equipment, as well as
contractors working within the City, to inform them of
road restrictions.
MORELAN Scalze noted that as part of the restructuring of the
RESIGNATION Park and Recreation Department and the new duties
assumed by Jim Morelan as full-time Parks and
Recreation Director, Morelan has submitted his
resignation as a voting member of the Park Commission
to be effective March 1, 1992. Morelan will serve as
staff consultant (ex-officio) to the Park Commission
under his new duties.
Page 2
