MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 26, 1992 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-71 - ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF <br />JIM MORELAN FROM THE PARK COMMISSION EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, <br />1992, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PLACE ADVERTISEMENT FOR <br />THE VACANCY ON THE COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />MN DOT The City Administrator presented the proposed MN DOT <br />SIGNAL signal agreement involving not only Little Canada, but <br />AGREEMENT the cities of Maplewood and Roseville as well. This <br />agreement covers opticom systems at several <br />intersections within the City. MN DOT is upgrading <br />Rice Street and it impacts some roadways in the City, <br />and traffic signals are included in the improvement. <br />Little Canada's estimated cost is $17,225.29, which the <br />Administrator reported would come from State Aid funds. <br />The Administrator reported that staff has reviewed the <br />agreement and is recommending approval. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-72 - APPROVING THE MN DOT SIGNAL <br />AGREEMENT AS PRESENTED AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DUCKS Council reviewed the Application for Exemption from <br />UNLIMITED Lawful Gambling License submitted by Ducks Unlimited so <br />that they can conduct raffles at the Venetian Inn on <br />April 14 and 28, 1992. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-73 - APPROVING THE EXEMPTION FROM <br />LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE SUBMITTED BY DUCKS UNLIMITED <br />FOR RAFFLES AT THE VENETIAN INN AN APRIL 14 AND 29, <br />1992 SUBJECT TO THERE BEING NO SALE OF PULL TABS BY <br />DUCKS UNLIMITED AT THE EVENT, AND SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF <br />SATISFACTORY SHERIFF'S REPORTS <br />Page 3 <br />
