MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 11, 1992
It was suggested that the City include an article
promoting ridership in its next newsletter
Bill Bruce suggested an expansion of the Roseville
Circulator route to carry passengers over to the
Maplewood Mall area with stops near St. John's Hospital
and adjacent doctors' officers. Bruce also suggested
that the large population in the Canterbury Condo area
would utilize the Roseville Circulator.
Rosvold replied that they are pursuing discussions with
Maplewood Mall on developinq a transit hub in their
area, similar to the one that is opening at Rosedale.
Rosvold pointed out that the Canterbury area is
currently served by the North Suburban line, and the
RTB tries not to duplicate services.
Council thanked Opatz and Rosvold for their
presentation and reported that the RTB would be
contacted for an article to be included in the next
City newsletter.
ELECTION The City Administrator reported that it is necessary to
JUDGES appoint election judges for the April Presidential
Primary. Five judges are needed at each precinct, and
the list of judges is currently being finalized.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-3-86 - APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF
ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE APRIL PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
Scalze asked about the effects of redistricting on the
City.
The City Administrator explained that it appears that
redistricting will split the City into two Aouse
Districts and that there will be a need to create a
third voter precinct. However, for the Presidential
Primary the City will be utilizing its existing two
precincts. The Administrator reported that at this
time the City has little information on the
redistricting plans in general and a lot of information
will be forthcoming.
Page 17
