MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
March 25, 1992
CITY BUDGET The Administrator reported that the State may eliminate
the City's Local Government Aid. The City is scheduled
to receive $64,000 in LGA in 1992, and it could be
eliminated entirely. During the budget process, a
reduction of $24,000 or $25,000 was allowed for.
However, if the City's allocation is reduced beyond
that point, it will be faced with more budget problems
before the end of the year.
CAPITAL The Administrator requested that the Fire Department
IMPROVEMENTS put together a capital improvement needs list for
distribution to the various charities. The charities
have been requesting this list, and there may be items
they are interested in funding. It was suggested that
items such as fire fighters' physicals and vaccinations
be included on the list.
FUTURE It was the consensus of the Council and Fire Department
WORKSHOP to hold its next workshop at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday,
June 24th just prior to the regular Council meeting.
There was also consensus to place the issue of the 3%
qambling tax on the agenda of that meeting for further
discussion.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 7:25 P.M.
/ _~ ~
,~ y/'
~//ra~~~~ r~e%~ .. ~' .~~~~ v
~R~y, ond G.
