MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 8, 1992 <br />SUPER SUMMER Scalze reported that the 1992 Super Summer Committee <br />has been meeting. The proposal this year is for three <br />two-week sessions, beginning dates of each session are <br />June 22, July 6, and July 20. Registration costs are <br />estimated at $45 per session, per child. Actual costs <br />of the session are estimated at $60 per child, and the <br />Little Canada Recreation Association has agreed to <br />subsidize registration fees at a rate of $10 per <br />participant. <br />Scalze reported that each session will have a different <br />theme. Sessions will be geared to outdoor activities, <br />and while there will be indoor activities at Little <br />Canada Elementary School, the lower floor of the old <br />fire station may be used for craft activities. <br />The City Administrator reported that the City is in the <br />process of interviewing candidates for the Super Summer <br />Camp Director position. Six applications were <br />received, and the two top candidates have been selected <br />for interview. The Administrator reported that there <br />is concern about getting the position filled as quickly <br />as possible, and requested that staff be granted the <br />authority to hire for that position. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduoed the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-128 - GRANTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR THE <br />AUTHORITY TO HIRE FOR THE POSITION OF 1992 SUPER SUMMER <br />CAMP DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-129 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (O).
