MINUTE~ <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 22, 1992 <br />OPPORTUNITY TO ANALYZE TxIS MATTER AND MAKE A <br />RECOMMENDATION FOR A BETTER WAY TO AANDLE CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMITS FOR CAR SALES IN THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Staff pointed out the application that is pending. <br />The City Attorney reported that since the application <br />was made prior to the moratorium, it should be <br />processed in the normal fashion. <br />OUTDOOR LaValle reported that Gordies Place would like to hold <br />VOLLEYBALL outdoor volleyball tournaments on Sunday's, Monday's <br />GORDIES and Tuesday's beginning May lOth. In conjunction with <br />PLACE the volleyball there would be outside sales and <br />consumption of alcoholic beverages. However, this <br />would not occur in the parking lot. <br />Blesener suggested that a plan be submitted for the <br />Council to review. <br />Staff reported that there was an incident in the <br />parking lot following the last outdoor volleyball <br />tournament at Gordies. <br />LaValle reported that Gordies would police the parking <br />lot and would not allow consumption within the parking <br />lot. <br />Collova reported that he would like to see a small <br />presentation or application from Gordies. <br />Council asked if outdoor sales and consumption was <br />permitted under the Liquor Code. <br />The City Attorney in researching the Law reported that <br />it does not appear to restrict where sales can occur, <br />however, the Attorney recommended that the City have <br />some sort of plan showing what Gordies plans to do and <br />where. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-4-147 - APPROVING THE OUTDOOR SALES <br />AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL AS REQUESTED BY GORDIES <br />PLACE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUTDOOR VOLLEYBALL <br />TOURNAMENTS TO BE HELD EVERY SUNDAY, MONDAY, AND <br />TUESDAY DURING THE SUMMER BEGINNING MAY 10~ 1992 <br />Page 22 <br />
