MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1992 <br />MORATORIUM The City Attorney submitted to the Council an <br />ORDINANCE ordinance placing a moratorium on additional used car <br />USED CAR sales licenses within the City for a period of six <br />SALES months. This is pursuant to Council action at their <br />last meeting. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 357 - AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A <br />MORATORIUM RELATING TO LICENSES FOR CAR DEALERS <br />The foregoinq ordinance was duly seconded by 5calze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />SPECIAL The City Administrator reported that it is the <br />MEETING FEE recommendation of City staff that a special meeting fee <br />be adopted. This fee would be charged in the event <br />someone requests a special meeting because through <br />their own negligence deadlines could not be met for <br />submittal of information for a regular meeting. <br />LaValle sugqested a fee of $300. <br />Collova and Blesener felt that $300 was too high. <br />Scalze stated that she could be convinced that the fee <br />was too high, and pointed out that the Council can <br />always consider lowering the fee. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-5-154 - ADOPTING A SPECIAL MEETING <br />FEE OF $300, TO BE CHARGED WHEN SPECIAL MEETINGS ARE <br />REQUESTED BY INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANIZATIONS WHEN THROUGH <br />THEIR OWN NEGLIGENCE THESE INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANIZATIONS <br />COULD NOT MAKE DEADLINES FOR SUBMITTAL OF INFORMATION <br />FOR CONSIDERATION AT REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTINUE The City Administrator reported that the Ryan <br />RYAN Industrial Park business owners have requested that <br />INDUSTRIAL the street improvement hearing be continued until <br />PARK the June lOth regular Council meeting. <br />ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENT Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />HEARING moved its adoption: <br />Page 7 <br />
