MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 27, 1992 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TOBACCO Hanson reported that he had a complaint from a PRODUCTS concerned parent about the chewing of tobacco products by minors. The City Administrator reported that the Legislature took some action on this issue during the last session. This information will be obtained and forwarded to the Council. PUBLIC Hanson reminded the public that school will soon be out SAFETY and asked residents to drive safely. SPRUCE STR. Blesener reported that Public Works has obtained two & SOUTH quotes for correction of a drainage problem at the OWASSO BLVD. corner of Spruce Street and South Owasso Blvd. They are from Frattalone Excavating in the amount of $8,495 and from 5t. Paul Utilities in the amount of $8,450. The City Administrator reported that the work is considered to be maintenance, therefore, will be paid for from either the storm sewer or the public works portion of the budget. The Administrator reported that the improvement is necessary to protect the road surface. Blesener pointed out that St. Paul Utilities is a local company and is located in Ryan Industrial Park. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 92-5-184 - APPROVING TAE LOW QUOTE OF ST. PAUL UTILITIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,450 FOR STORM SEWER REPAIR AT THE CORNER OF SPRUCE STREET AND SOUTH OWASSO BLVD. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 34 LITTLE Collova informed the Council that the owner of 34 CANADA ROAD Little Ganada Road has not contacted the City Administrator or Building Official to set up a meeting to discuss the status of the property.
