MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 1992 <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the Council has <br />authorized the City to proceed under hazardous building <br />statutes, and that process has been begun. <br />RICE STREET The City Administrator reported that the process is <br />PROPERTIE5 being completed on the two hazardous Rice Street <br />properties, and the City now has the authority to take <br />these structures down. The City is obtaining quotes <br />for the removal of these structures, and the <br />Administrator reported that a price for removing the <br />old Kellogg warming house will also be obtained. <br />Aanson reported that the Guerin station is in the <br />process of being taken down. <br />PIONEER Scalze reported that the Park Commission has <br />PARK recommended the purchase of 10 picnic tables for the <br />PICNIC Pioneer Park facility at a cost of approximately $500 <br />TABLES to $600 per table. This recommendation was subject to <br />available funding. Scalze reported that the purchase <br />is unbudgeted, but there is interest in the tables, and <br />the Park Consultant felt that there would be adequate <br />funding. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-5-185 - APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TEN <br />PICNIC TABLES FOR PIONEER PARK SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE <br />FUNDING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Blesener, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BLEACAERS The Parks & Rec Director reported that the LCRA has <br />offered to purchase bleachers for the Pioneer Park <br />facility at a cost of approximately $7,000. The <br />Director reported that the bleachers have been ordered <br />and should be delivered any day. They will be <br />installed behind each of the backstop areas. <br />Hanson thanked the LCRA for their generous donation. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-5-186 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />Page 24 <br />
