MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 16, 1992
The City Engineer reported that he has approached the
County about contributing to the cost of the storm
sewer project, and they have indicated that they will
pay for only their portion of the drainage area. The
Engineer noted that the Edgerton lateral which is
proposed would be a benefit to both the City and the
County. The Engineer suggested that this portion of
the storm sewer project could be bid as an alternate so
the City can review the cost and decide whether it is
feasible to proceed with that portion of the
improvement based on the cost.
The City Administrator indicated that if staff does not
feel the County is willing to contribute their fair
share, it would be staff's recommendation to not
proceed with that portion of the project.
Mrs. Neamy again indicated that her lots face Vanderbie
and not LaBore Road.
The City Administrator pointed out that the Neamy house
faces LaBore Road, therefore, Vanderbie would be
considered the side lot. The Administrator indicated
that he would be happy to review the situation with
Mrs. Neamy with regard to previous Council action on
the division of her property, as well as the
orientation of her lots.
Ms. Torala asked if she could have her assessments
deferred until she sells her property.
The City Administrator stated that he would be happy to
work with Ms. Torala, and asked that anyone with any
questions please call.
Mrs. Neamy pointed out that her proposed property
division was approved by the Council on the condition
that she remove a portion of her garage. Mrs. Neamy
stated that she does not intend to do this.
The City Administrator suggested that he review past
meeting minutes on this issue and review the situation
with the City Planner.
There was no one else present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Hanson, the public
hearing was closed.
The Mayor pointed out that the improvement hearing was
initiated by the Council, therefore, it will require a
4/5ths vote to approve.
Page 14
