MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 8, 1992 <br />that Ryan Industrial Park will not be singled out for <br />increased code enforcement, and the City is hoping for <br />100% cooperation from residents and business-owners in <br />this matter. Hanson asked if the association could be <br />given a time frame for a response from the City. <br />The City Administrator reported that the City must <br />first review the information that was provided by the <br />association's attorney. The Administrator noted that <br />neither he nor the City Attorney have been involved in <br />this matter from its on-set. The Administrator <br />suggested that he and the City Attorney and City <br />Engineer review the information, go through whatever <br />City records exist on the matter, and come up with some <br />alternatives for presentation to the Council. <br />Scalze was concerned that <br />hours on this matter, and <br />the Council was going to <br />improvement that would be <br />way to assess the cost of <br />pointed out that the City <br />improvement. <br />the City Attorney could spend <br />stated that she thought that <br />~onsider the type of <br />best for the area, and the <br />that improvement. Scalze noted that the City <br />has not shared in the cost of other road improvements <br />other than for improvements adjacent to City property. <br />Scalze asked why the City would decide to cost share in <br />this improvement. Scalze was concerned about the <br />matter dragging on for six months. <br />Collova felt this situation was different from a new <br />development, and suggested that the City Attorney and <br />City Administrator review the matter and make a <br />recommendation on whether or not the City should share <br />costs. <br />The City Administrator stated that the question is what <br />responsibility the City has, and has the City <br />contributed to the situation that exists today. The <br />Administrator noted that the City has said that it has <br />never accepted the Ryan Industrial Park streets, but <br />the property owners are saying that the City has some <br />responsibility. The Administrator stated that he <br />cannot respond at this point. The Administrator felt <br />that the City is hard-pressed to pursue this project <br />Page 10 <br />
