MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 26, 1992 CITY FILINGS Collova announced that the filing period for two Council positions and the position of Mayor is August 25th through September 8th. CUP FOR Hanson reported that the Planning Commission tabled 5EMI-TRAILER action on the application submitted by Slumberland for PARKING Conditional Use Permit for additional semi-trailer SLUMBERLAND parking area pending resolution of some site concerns which were raised at their meeting. The City Administrator reported that staff inet with Slumberland yesterday and discussed the general issue as well as gave them a copy of the Planning Commission meeting minutes. Slumberland is now evaluating whether or not to continue on with their application request at this time or if they should wait until next year. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 92-8-276 - TABLING ACTION ON THE SLUMBERLAND APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SEMI-TRAILER PARKING PENDING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. FINA Hanson opened the public hearing to consider the CUP FOR application by Fina Serve for Conditional Use Permit OUTDOOR to allow outdoor sales and displays at their site at SALES/ 2250 Rice Street. Hanson noted that the Planning DI5PLAYS Commission denied the application since a site plan has not been submitted even after numerous requests for one. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was closed. Page 2
