MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 9, 1992
Engineer reported that copies of updated cost estimates
will be available at City Hall for review if anyone is
interested.
The City Administrator noted that final costs will not
be known until the assessment hearing, and costs could
exceed the estimated $51.75 per front foot depending on
how the project progresses.
Hanson suggested that the City notify the MTC and
school bus lines of the impending project.
The City Engineer anticipated a September 28th start
date for the project.
CABLE TV Bi11 Bruce appeared before the Council requesting
EQUIPMENT approval for the purchase of a character generator to
be used in the production of the various cable TV
programs the City produces. Bruce noted that it was
not possible to obtain three quotes for this equipment
since it is available from only one dealer in the
State, and it was felt it better to purchase from an
on-state dealer due to installation and service
considerations.
Bruce noted that the cost of $3,716.89 for the
equipment would be paid for from cable TV franchise
fees that the City receives.
Blesener noted that under Law franchise fees must be
spent on cable-related items.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-315 - APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A
CHARACTER GENERATOR FROM ALPHA VIDEO IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,716.89
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Collova.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PUBLIC Aanson reminded citizens that school has begun, school
SAFETY buses are out, therefore, additional observations are
necessary when driving.
VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Page 13
