MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 1992 <br />Scalze suggested that the matter be tabled for one <br />month to determine if there is an interest on the part <br />of other organizations in a night at the bingo hall, as <br />well as to determine Lake Owasso's future plans. <br />Blesener did not know that tabling was necessary since <br />NSYA has indicated a willingness to step back if Lake <br />Owasso successfully negotiates a lease agreement with <br />the landlord. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-326 - TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />AMENDMENT TO PREMISE PERMIT FOR NORTH SUBURBAN YOUTH <br />ASSOCIATION UNTIL THE OCTOBER 28, 1992 COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (3) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson. <br />Nays (2) Blesener, Collova. Resolution adopted. <br />CLOSED The City Attorney requested a closed session following <br />SESSION this evening's Council meeting to discuss litigation <br />regarding the Klein hazardous building. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-9-327 - CALLING FOR A CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING ADJOURNMENT OF THIS EVENING'S MEETING TO <br />DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION AS REQUESTED BY THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FEASIBILITY The City Engineer presented a feasibility report for <br />REPORT the improvement of Vanderbie Street and Allen Avenue by <br />VANDERBIE/ street reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter, water <br />ALLEN STREET main and storm sewer. The Engineer reviewed the <br />& UTILITY feasibility report in detail and pointed out that <br />IMPROVEMENT estimated cost of the improvement is $605,064. Staff <br /> has discussed how the project would be paid for, and <br /> past City policy has been to assess 80% of street <br /> reconstruction costs, and 100% of curb and gutter. The <br /> Engineer pointed out that an 8-inch trunk water main is <br /> being proposed. The Engineer proposed that the City <br /> assess the cost of a 6-inch water main, and the City <br /> pick up the difference for oversizing the main to 8 <br /> inches.
