MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 23, 1992 PUBLIC Hanson reminded the public to be extra cautious since SAFETY when day light savings time is off next month, children may be waiting for school buses in the early morning hours when it is still dark. PARK Scalze reviewed the change order to Arrow Asphalt in CHANGE the amount of $60.95 for trail work and weed control. ORDER Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-339 - APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO ARROW ASPHALT IN THE AMOUNT OF $60.95 FOR TRAIL CONNECTION WORK AND WEED CONTROL The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PRESERVATION Scalze reported that the Park Commission is OF RAILROAD recommending City support of a resolution urging the CORRIDORS preservation of abandoned railroad corridors for FOR PUBLIC public use. Council reviewed this resolution and USE aqreed with the Park Commission's recommendation. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-340 - URGING TAE PRESERVATION OF ABANDONED RAILROAD CORRIDORS FOR PUBLIC USE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CAPITAL Soalze asked if the City had finalized the priority IMPROVEMENT listing of capital improvement requests submitted by PRIORITY the various departments. LIST The City Administrator reported that each department has submitted this information. However, he has now asked the departments for more definition of their requests. Once this information is received, the capital improvement requests will be prioritized and submitted to the Council for review. SALARY Scalze asked the timing of the 1993 salary workshop.
