MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 1992 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-337 - SUPPORTING THE RESOLUTION <br />CONCERNING A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO CREATE A NEW <br />PROPERTY TAXPAYERS' TRUST FUND IN MINNESOTA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE DEPT. Council discussed the scheduling of the third quarter <br />WORKSHOP workshop with the Fire Department, and it was the <br />MEETING consensus of the Council to schedule that meeting for <br />Wednesday, October 14th at 6 P.M. if this date meets <br />approval of the Fire Department. <br />PARK & REC Scalze reported that the Park and Recreation Commission <br />COMMISSION ordinance calls for an annual meeting of that <br />Commission with the City Council. Scalze suggested <br />that the Commission be asked at their next meeting what <br />dates they might be available for a workshop. <br />TEMPORARY Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />LIQUOR moved its adoption: <br />LICENSE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-338 - APPROVING A TEMPORARY ON-SALE <br />LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION <br />ASSOCIATION FOR THEIR BACK-TO-THE-FIFTIES DANCE TO BE <br />HELD ON OCTOBER 24, 1992 AT ST. JOHN'S SCAOOL SUBJECT <br />TO RECEIPT OF EVIDENCE OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ECONOMIC Hanson reported that there is a meeting of the <br />DEVELOPMENT Community Pride Committee scheduled for Wednesday, <br />September 30th, at 7 A.M. <br />Hanson further reported that St. Jude Medical will have <br />a groundbreaking ceremony for their new facility on <br />Thursday, October 1st at 10 A.M. Al1 members of the <br />Council have been invited to attend. <br />Scalze reported that at the last Chamber meeting, there <br />was a presentation from communities on what they are <br />doing with regard to community pride projects. Arden <br />Hills, Vadnais Heights, Roseville, North St. Paul and <br />Little Canada reported, and all are discussing and <br />undertaking similar community pride projects. <br />Page 21 <br />
