MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 14, 1992 RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-350 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 23~ 1992 CLOSED COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Aanson, Collova, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-351 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 7, 1992 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Scalze, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ANNOUNCE- Aanson extended a special thank you to all those who MENTS assisted in the City's clean-up day held on Saturday, October 3rd, including members of the business community, City staff, and BFI personnel, as well as the Market Place Shopping Center for allowing the use of their parking lot as the collection site. PUBLIC Hanson opened the public hearing to oonsider adoption HEARING of the proposed assessment roll for the improvement of TWIN LAKE Twin Lake Blvd. from the intersection of Vadnais Blvd. BLVD. to Vadnais Blvd. by shoulder paving improvement. It SHOULDER was pointed out that total cost of the improvement is PAVING $4,526.00. City policy is to assess 80% of the cost IMPROVEMENT of such improvements, which results in a per front ASSESSMENT foot assessment of $1.06244 for the benefitted AEARING properties. There was no one present from the general public wishinq to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was closed. Blesener noted that property owners are only being assessed for 80% of the cost of shoulder paving, which results in a very small assessment. Twin Lake Blvd. is a County road, and the total improvement involved the overlay of the entire street. Page 2
