MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14, 1992 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-350 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />SEPTEMBER 23~ 1992 CLOSED COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Aanson, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-351 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />OCTOBER 7, 1992 WORKSHOP COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCE- Aanson extended a special thank you to all those who <br />MENTS assisted in the City's clean-up day held on Saturday, <br />October 3rd, including members of the business <br />community, City staff, and BFI personnel, as well as <br />the Market Place Shopping Center for allowing the use <br />of their parking lot as the collection site. <br />PUBLIC Hanson opened the public hearing to oonsider adoption <br />HEARING of the proposed assessment roll for the improvement of <br />TWIN LAKE Twin Lake Blvd. from the intersection of Vadnais Blvd. <br />BLVD. to Vadnais Blvd. by shoulder paving improvement. It <br />SHOULDER was pointed out that total cost of the improvement is <br />PAVING $4,526.00. City policy is to assess 80% of the cost <br />IMPROVEMENT of such improvements, which results in a per front <br />ASSESSMENT foot assessment of $1.06244 for the benefitted <br />AEARING properties. <br /> There was no one present from the general public <br /> wishinq to comment on this matter. <br /> Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Scalze, the public <br /> hearing was closed. <br />Blesener noted that property owners are only being <br />assessed for 80% of the cost of shoulder paving, which <br />results in a very small assessment. Twin Lake Blvd. is <br />a County road, and the total improvement involved the <br />overlay of the entire street. <br />Page 2 <br />
