MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14, 1992 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-352 - ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />FOR THE TWIN LAKE BLVD. SHOULDER PAVING IMPROVEMENT AS <br />PRESENTED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FINAL BOND Mr. Dick Helde, Faegre & Benson, appeared before the <br />RESOLUTIONS Council requesting approval of final bond resolutions <br />PRESBYTERIAN for the Presbyterian Homes senior projects. Helde <br />HOMES noted that the Council has given preliminary approval, <br />SENIOR and final approval is necessary for the bond closing <br />HOUSING which is scheduled for next week. <br />PROJECT <br />The City Administrator reported that the resolutions <br />submitted appear to be in order. <br />Hanson asked when Presbyterian Homes would be breaking <br />ground on the project. <br />Dan Lindh, Presbyterian Homes, reported that the <br />closing is scheduled for next Tuesday, Presbyterian <br />Aomes then hopes to begin construction on Wednesday. <br />Lindh reported that a ground breaking ceremony is <br />scheduled for November 4th at 1:30 P.M., and <br />invitations will be sent for that ceremony. Lindh <br />reported that there are now 300 names on the waiting <br />list for the units, and Presbyterian Homes continues to <br />get more calls from individuals expressing interest. <br />Lindh reported that this project has generated as much <br />or more interest as any of Presbyterian Homes' other <br />projects in the last 5 to 7 years, which indicates a <br />strong need for this type of housing. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-353 - PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE <br />AND SALE OF HEALTH CARE FACILITIES REVENUE BONDS, TO <br />PROVIDE FUNDS FOR A HEALTH CARE FACILITIES PROJECT, ON <br />BEHALF OF THE PRESBYTERIAN HOMES OF MINNESOTA, INC. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0).
