MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 14, 1992
Giovannini reported that that is up to the giver.
There seems to be no correlation between the dollar
value of gifts donated and what attracts people.
Parents come and select toys for their children, based
on their child's interests. Giovannini suggested that
toys that would generate an on-going operating cost be
avoided.
CLOSED The City Attdrney requested a closed session following
SESSION this evening's meeting to discuss on-going negotiations
in the Ryan Drive improvement matter, and hopefully
preclude litigation.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-355 - AUTHORIZING A CLOSED SESSION
FOLLOWING THE COUNCIL MEETING TO DISCUSS PENDING
LITIGATION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
MSA MILEAGE The City Administrator presented correspondence
& PENALTY regarding an increase in MSA mileage and waiver of MSA
PROVISIONS penalty provisions which ties in with the roadway grid
system laid out by the County's Consolidation
Commission in an attempt to better serve the County.
The proposed resolution included in the correspondence
calls for more State Aid dollars in return for
additional street mileage proposed to be turned over to
the City. Without the additional aid, the City would
be bearing a greater portion of cost than previously.
The City Administrator recommended adoption of the
proposed resolution with some additional wording makinq
our approval conditioned upon the receipt of additional
State Aid.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-356 -
INCREASING MSA MILEAGE FOR
AND PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER
SUBJECT TO THE ADDITION OF
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
following resolution and
APPROVING THE RESOLUTION
THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
OF MSA PENALTY PROVISIONS
LANGUAGE AS SUGGESTED BY THE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener
Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Aanson, LaValle.
Nays (0).
