MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA NOVEMBER 18, 1992 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of November, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Raymond G. Hanson chaired and called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M., and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson Council Member Mr. Bill Blesener Council Member Mr. Rick Collova Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney City Planner Mr. Mike Lynch Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer CONTINUATION Mayor Hanson pointed out that the purpose of tonight's EDGERTON special meeting is the continuation of the Edgerton WATER MAIN Street water main improvement hearing. Hanson noted IMPROVEMENT that in the interim since the original hearing, a HEARING survey was sent to the property owners asking whether or not they were in favor of the improvement. Hanson reviewed the results of that survey. For the area along Edgerton north of LaBOre Road, 24 property owners favored the improvement, 20 opposed it, and there were no responses from 15. Of those respondents, 15 favored the cost of the improvement being assessed on a per lot basis, while 27 preferred a per lineal foot basis. For the area along Edgerton Street lying between Little Canada Road and LaBore Road, 12 were in favor of the improvement, 6 opposed and there was no response from 4. Of those respondents, 11 favored an assessment on a per lot basis and 6 on a per lineal foot basis. (Copies of the survey results were made available to those in attendance.) Mr. John Schwalbach asked if the water main would be installed along Keller Parkway or Edgerton Street in the southern section of the improvement. Page 1
