Demont.
LaValle read the letter which indicated that Mr. Clasen
felt that the comments that LaValle made regarding not
appointing individuals to a citizens committee on
charitable gambling who had an ax to grind, were
directed at him. LaValle indicated that in no way were
his comments directed at Mr. Clasen personally.
LaValle stated that he was concerned about any
improprieties connected with charitable gambling just
as other Council Members were. LaValle reported that
the rumors that Mr. Clasen refers to in his letter, he
has not heard, and any improprieties that the Council
becomes aware of will be checked into. If the Council
is not capable of handling a situation, that situation
would be referred to either the State or the Sheriff's
Department. LaValle again stated that his comments
were not directed at Mr. Clasen personally or at any
individual.
Page 1
