MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 2025 <br />proposed timeline for recruitment should the profile be approved tonight. She provided background <br />information on the wage scale and reviewed the three options before the Council. <br />Miller thanked staff for the detailed report, which helps to create a roadmap for City Administrator <br />candidates. Malone agreed that the data helps to ensure they are in line with the current market and <br />neighboring communities. Mayor Fischer echoed the comments of thanks, recognizing the work that is <br />needed to develop these profiles. He recognized the amount of work that has to be done before they <br />can go to market for candidates. He stated that the profile helps candidates, and others, to better <br />understand the City. He stated that they are now informed that the previous salary range, which was <br />updated three years ago, has not stood the test of time and the wages must be adjusted in order to <br />ensure they are attracting the right staff person. He commented on the discussion that occurred in the <br />workshop tonight to develop a solid recommendation, noting that the Council supports the 3B range. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-3-38 — APPROVING THE CITYADMINISTRA TOR PROFILE, <br />INCLUDING THE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS MADE IN THE WORKSHOP <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Malone. <br />Ayes (3). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2025-3-39 — APPROVING THE OPTION 3B WAGE SCALE FOR <br />THE CITY A DMINIS TRA TOR POSITION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (3). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE 909, REPEAL AND REPLACE CITY CODE CHAPTER 211, CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND APPROVE NEW CITY ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION <br />The Acting City Administrator provided background information on the review of the City Code which <br />currently provides the only job description for the city administrator. She explained that this has <br />become out of date and updates are required, providing an overview of the proposed changes. She <br />noted that the qualifications in the job description and draft recruitment policy now match as well. <br />Mayor Fischer clarified that the policies and procedures will now reflect what is done and by whom to <br />be more accurate. <br />Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-3-40 — ADOPTING ORDINANCE 909, REPEALING AND <br />REPLACING CITY CODE CHAPTER 211, CITYADMINISTRATION, AND APPROVING <br />PUBLICATION OF SUMMARY ORDINANCE <br />2 <br />
