MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 14~ 1993
OLD FIRE
STATION
ADJOURN
The City Attorney reported that taking a preliminary
look at the Statutes, it appears that the Statutes give
no direction at all on this issue. There may be
something in the gambling rules, however. The Attorney
suggested that waiting a couple of months to address
this issue will not aggravate the situation.
Hanson felt that there were enough gambling issues
coming up that it would be better to wait to address
the gambling tax balance.
Morelan asked the status of the Community Development
Block Grant application the City submitted for the old
fire station.
The City Administrator replied that there has been no
word on the status of that application, and he expected
a response in early May.
Scalze asked if the City should be giving the
indication that it would be willing to contribute a
greater percentage to the improvements.
The City Administrator felt that the City would still
have that opportunity, feeling that a response on that
application may set that condition.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-4-95 - ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
;. ~ ! ,
,
,~. ~~: > ~ ' ~ . ~7% / 0. ~ l~~ ~,- . ~ ~ 'r~_:
~s~ nd G.
