MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 28, 1993 <br />Scalze reported that she has looked at the garage, and <br />if it were her lot she would remove the garage. Scalze <br />suggested that the Fire Department may be willing to <br />burn the garage at no cost. <br />Morelan indicated that he would assume the entire <br />parcel is worth more money since there is a splitable <br />lot. <br />Pierce replied that the entire parcel was commercial <br />and the City down-zoned the back half to residential. <br />LaValle asked if Pierce could estimate the cost of <br />removing the garage. <br />Pierce could not and asked what he should do with the <br />items inside the garage should it be removed. <br />LaValle felt the contents of the garage were Pierce's <br />concern, not the City's. LaValle suggested that the <br />cost of removing the garage be determined. <br />Pierce estimated $1,000 to $1,500 to remove the <br />qarage. <br />Morelan stated that he liked the idea of the Fire <br />Department burning down the structure. <br />Pierce replied that the garage <br />be used for commercial purpose; <br />compensation should be made to <br />the property. <br />Scalze expressed concern about <br />the cost of moving this garage <br />liability in this matter. <br />is a good one, and could <br />Pierce felt that <br />~him so that he can split <br />the City's picking up <br />questioning the City's <br />Pierce stated that the Council has the obligation to <br />serve and should be willing to listen to and attack the <br />problem. <br />Hanson suggested that Mr. Pierce obtain costs for <br />removal of the garage and bring them back for review. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-4-111 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
