MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 28, 1993
Scalze asked the next step.
The Administrator suggested that if the City does not
commit to a full revision of the Plan, it may be a
waste of money. The Administrator also felt that at
the staff level identification of land use conflicts,
correction and updating of various maps can be done,
and this information can be presented to the various
groups for their reaction.
The City Planner anticipated that the updating process
would take a minimum of 12 months. The updated plan
would then be valuable to the City for a period of 10
years as long as the implementation sections are
updated annually. The Planner noted that the Plan is
programmed for 10 years, although planning covers 50
years.
The Administrator suggested that he put together a list
of potential funding sources, and suggested that the
matter could be discussed further at a Council/Staff
goal setting session.
DeLonais suggested that the Administrator take a look
at sample comp plans from other communities that the
City Planner has.
5calze asked if the City should advertise for citizen
involvement in the process.
The Planner indicated that the broader the
representation in the process, the more confident the
City can be in its plan.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
~ /~ ~- ,~ ~ r"Y, ,~~ ~~ ~,. . .- ~. ~ t; ~._
R~ nd G.
